Setting up Healthlink in VIP.net
Go to http://www.healthlink.net/hmswebinstall/6.5.2(1275) and download the Windows version and then run install.exe
In the User Identification screen enter the following:
EDI Username: *******
EDI Password: *******
Passphrase : *******
The Passphrase is needed for the Digital Certificates which are located in MercuryCLIENTAPPSHealthlinkDigital Certs recd 10-04-07
You should now have a shortcut to run oin your desktop called HMS Client Application.
Go to Practice Peference->General Preferences->Communication Settings->Communications and select Healthlink. Select an RSDFormat and enter the same Username and Password used above. Under filename enter the path of hms.exe i.e. C:HLINKHMS.exe. Click on the Details button and enter the paths for the IN and Out diretories for both LAB and RSD i.e. C:HLINKFF_inRSD and C:HLINKFF_outRSD.
Add yourself as a provider (if you haven’t already). The add the person you are sending to as an “other” provider. Under Communications select RSD, Healthlink and enter the Username they used from the above list.
Create a test template referral with the new referral fields on it and press Ctrl-F4 togo to the current patient’s referrals and create a new outgoing referral.
